1. Date of Birth Accuracy Critical
During Student Account registration, the Parent is required to provide the Student's date of birth. This information is used to:
- Determine whether the Student is under 13 years of age and therefore subject to additional COPPA protections
- Deliver age-appropriate content and features
- Apply the correct privacy and data handling protocols
The Parent is solely responsible for providing an accurate date of birth. OC Study relies on this information in good faith and has no independent means of verifying a minor's age beyond the information provided by the Parent.
Consequences of inaccurate information
- If a Parent provides a date of birth that overstates the Student's age (making a child under 13 appear to be 13 or older), the COPPA protections designed to safeguard younger children will not be triggered.
- OC Study is not liable for any privacy, safety, or compliance consequences that arise from inaccurate date of birth information provided by the Parent.
- Intentionally providing false age information to circumvent age-related protections constitutes a violation of our Terms of Service and may result in immediate account termination without refund.
3. Per-Child Pricing Important
OC Study Subscriptions are priced and billed per Student Account. Each child requires their own separate Subscription.

Why per-child pricing
- Each Student receives a personalized learning path and AI-driven analysis tailored to their individual performance
- Progress tracking, strengths/weaknesses analysis, and recommendations are student-specific
- Practice exams and study plans are customized per student
- Server resources and AI processing are allocated per active student
Attempting to use a single Student Account for multiple children undermines the personalized learning experience and violates the Account Sharing Prohibition (see Disclaimer 2).
4. AI-Generated Content Informational
OC Study uses artificial intelligence to analyze Student performance, generate personalized study recommendations, provide explanatory feedback on practice questions, and simulate adaptive tutoring interactions.
Please be aware
- AI-generated analysis and recommendations are supplemental learning aids, not professional academic advice.
- While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors, inaccuracies, or suboptimal recommendations.
- AI analysis is based on patterns in the Student's responses and does not replace the judgment of a qualified educator or tutor.
- The AI does not diagnose learning disabilities or provide medical, psychological, or special education assessments.
- Parents should use AI-generated insights as one input among many when making educational decisions for their child.
5. No Guarantee of Academic Results Informational
OC Study is designed to help students prepare for standardized tests including the SAT and SHSAT. However, we make no guarantee regarding:
- Specific score improvements on any standardized test
- Admission to any school, college, or academic program
- Scholarship awards or financial outcomes
- Any particular academic result or performance level
Student outcomes depend on many factors beyond our control, including individual effort, prior knowledge, study consistency, test-day conditions, and external circumstances. Testimonials and success stories shared on our Platform represent individual experiences and are not guarantees of future results.
6. Third-Party Links and Content Informational

7. Free Trial Limitations Important
- The 7-day Free Trial is limited to one trial per household, not per Parent or per email address.
- We reserve the right to deny a Free Trial to users who have previously had a trial or paid account, even if registering with a new email address.

- No credit card is required for the trial. We will never charge you without your explicit action to subscribe.
